Hi everyone! You’ve probably seen this beauty product all over social media, if you’re familiar in the beauty community. The beautiful looking golden highlighting palette from Sleek Make-Up with four unique highlighting shades. I was wondering where the hype is all about, so I purchased the Sleek highlighting palette, and I will share my thoughts on it with you guys!

PACKAGING

The Sleek Highlighting Palette in Solstice has the most beautiful packaging! I’m in love with it! The packaging is completely gold, which makes it look so much more expensive than it is. It’s made from plastic but it still feels very stable. It opens and closes with a magnet, which I really like because it won’t open easily when you have it in your bag or when you travel with it. On the inside it contains a fairly large mirror, and a small little brush, which is always a plus.

THE HIGHLIGHTERS

The palette contains four highlight shades. Three powders and one cream highlighter. The shade are called:

Ecliptic – This is the cream highlighter. It’s the left one on the top row. This is supposed to be applied across the browbone to lift the brows. It’s a pink/champagne color.

Hemisphere – This is the purple/lavender shade on the top row on the right. This one is supposed to add shimmer on the cheekbones.

Subsolar – The yellow shade on the bottom row on the left. This shade is supposed to highlight down the bridge of the nose.

Equinox – The peachy shade on the bottom row on the right. This one is supposed to be applied on the cupid’s bow to enhance the lips.

THE SWATCHES

The swatches above do absolutely no justice! In real live they look even more amazing! All four highlighters are very pigmented, which is a good thing, but you do have to be a bit careful when you apply them. A little goes a long way, and you definitely don’t want to go overboard with the purple highlighter because that will just look really unnatural. I’d say this isn’t really a palette I tend to use for an everyday look, but it’s amazing if you want a bit more of an intense highlight for going out for example.

CONCLUSION

I definitely recommend this palette if you like a bit more of an intense highlight, or if you’re a beauty lover like me and you just want it in your makeup collection, because it’s absolutely gorgeous. The palette contains four great quality highlighters, for quite an affordable price. And the packaging is to die for!

xoxo
